D-Day is a 2013 Indian action spy thriller film co-produced by DAR motion pictures and Emmay Entertainment Private Limited. It is the next directorial offer from Nikhil Advani, starring Arjun Rampal, Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan Khan, Huma Qureshi,
Shruti Haasan and Sandeep Kulkarni in the lead roles. The motion picture was released on 19th July 2013.
Secret Agent Wali Khan (Irrfan Khan), appointed by the Chief of Indian Research and Analysis Wing, Ashwini Rao (Nassar), was on a mission from nine years to keep an eye out for the activities of India's most wanted D-Company syndicate leader, Iqbal Seth a.k.a Goldman (Rishi Kapoor) in Karachi. On the other hand, ex-Indian Army officer and Mercenary, Captain Rudra Pratap Singh (Arjun Rampal), R.A.W.'s explosives expert, Zoya Rehman (Huma Qureshi), and Aslam (Aakash Daahiya), a Mumbai thief were recruited by R.A.W., nine days before, to infiltrate Pakistan and support Wali Khan, in the mission to apprehend Goldman, who is about to break Inter-Services Intelligence protocol and attend his own son's wedding. Intelligence officers listening in on the Goldman's conversation report it to the Research and Analysis Wing director Ashwini Rao (Nassar), who in turn gets the implicit approval of the PMO for a covert operation on enemy soil.The wedding is being organised at Karachi's Baituz Zahab hotel, with the full participation of ISI officers and a Pakistani general (K.K. Raina) and who feels that Iqbal (Rishi Kapoor) will be targeted and should avoid attending the wedding. But Iqbal is adamant, and his nephew approves.
Wali, Rudra and Zoya finally capture Goldman after their last attempt. Wali ensures to buy them some time and to distract the Pakistan army. Now with the Pakistan army hot on their trail, they cross over to India where Ashwini is waiting for them.The movie ends on a surprise note after this when Rudra brings the story to a close by shooting Goldman in the head and indicates that he is the face of the "new India".
